I am going to attend SUST source camp. SUST means Shahjalal University of Engineering and Technology, situated in Sylhet.

There will be a source camp and workshop there on 23-24 March 2007. I had a team of our university, who are going there.

subject matters

Subject of email is a very dangerous thing and also obviously important. It really matters....

Many important email remains unreadable because of wrong/not clear subject. I got many emails like this...

As for example, one wants to talk about ICCIT2007 but he give the subject as "Computer works..." So, what? what is the result? Result is, if such email goes to any busy people`s inbox, he/she just remove it or ignore it. So, the sender never gets a little bit of answer for himself/herself.

So, please beaware of this. When you are going to write an email, always think about proper subject.

extremely hurted

I was just flying with the winning news of Bangladesh against India. But, right now, i am desperately hurted after hearing one shocking news. Coach of Pakistan National Cricket team died last day, 18 March,2007.



The day before that, Pakistan lost their path for this world cup. Ireland became winner against Pakistan. And now, Pakistan Cricket team have to return their home. And just after few hours, their coach, Bob Woolmer, has been found unconcious in his hotel room and later he died in hospital. What a pathetic picture for Pakistan National Cricket team.....

mpg,mpeg was creating problem

I had been facing such problem for some weeks. But tonight it has been solved. Before tonight i tried to play mpg,mpeg with xine,totem but i failed.
After that, i found libraries: libmad0,slang0 and ffmpeg. And after that i installed mplayer2. And now i am playing videos with sound.

Tried to download the RMS`s site, but the most surprising thing is, the content of this site always increases. For example: when i hit that site with httrack,the content of that site was 129 and time was 2:10 am; at 4:10 am, i got that, the contents of that site is 10245......??????!!!!!!!!

Let`s see what is the main thing!

sudden trip

We had a nice trip to Jahangirnagar University today. This was really nice. And i will never forget about today`s trip.

That was really an exciting tour. We just decided to go to outside of Dhaka withing 2 minutes. And that`s it...

We, some brave hearts, started our journey at 12:00 pm. We were three... Sabbir bhai,Razib bhai and me. First of all we went to Razib bhai`s uncle`s house to take the camera. The camera was big... a very pro. one... used for pro. photographer. Anyway, from there we started our journey to JU. And we reached there at 2:15 pm.

We took a huge amount of pictures. Hope that, i can share those pictures with you very soon. And we took a long walk through the campus. We visited some very beautiful place. One was beside of lake....oh! that was really nice. We watched black clouds,greens and small currents of lake. That was really nice.

At 3:30 pm, one friend of Sabbir bhai came to us. He is really a nice guy. We passed a nice time with him and with some of his friends. We attended a "moncho natok" practice.

Also we got some nice fried foods... with "water of dub"...

We got some "fatafati" pictures from overbridge of Dhaka-Savar highway.

And at 5:30 pm we started for Dhaka. But, with a new feelings....new mind... new thoughts....

and i was so much excited when it was loading...
but when i surfing that site, i was surprised time to time. Nothing is there, what it should be. Many pages are under construction mood.
This is really bad... really pathetic....

embedded system

I have started learning about embedded system.... Uppss...
let`s see what i can learn.

But, this is a good stuff i think, cause, i makes me walk through a very different track than usual. And, thanks to Sabbir bhai for his lectures,some notes and papers ( he printed these staffs for me...ummm) .

war with libraries

Man!!! i have never faced such type of library-dependency problem!!!!

the "library-dependency" problems are firing me with M16,Tiger tank... and so on...

i tried to install bittorent,d4x,python-wx2.4 and some... but lack of libraries!!!

anyway, i am also downloading as much library as i need and i will continue this job as much as i can...

Midterm week :(

A very horrible week has been started!!!!!!!! Midterm week....

i am very much uncomfortable with this one.... the exam thing....
though i like to read the "Software Engineering" book by Pressman, but i found a really bad weather when i need to read it @ midterm week....

i don`t know why... but i am not actually a very "cool" mood....

did some jobs...

hmmm... after some period of time... i have done something. The most important issue is... i have successfully hacked Gnome-2.16.03. This is cool...

though Garnome created some problem but i treated her. :)

Another job is: i have upgraded my Ubuntu 6.06 LTS box completely. 100% upgraded. Apprx. 570 Mb needed for that.

570 Mb ? what the hell is this? Don`t know? Ok...

i have downloaded 570 Mb upgraded stuffs for Ubuntu 6.06 LTS. Now i am really a up-to-date user of Ubuntu 6.06 LTS. Feeling nice......... :)

Another job is: i have successfully compiled 2.6.20 kernel... each and every part is working fine.... .... feeling the wind of heaven....

Another job is: i am upgrading pango for Ubuntu.... don`t know if it will work or not.

And last one is: i have started my job as Ubuntu developer from tonight.... really hot!!!!

started talking...

i have started talking with Mandriva 2006. She has 2.6.12 kernel. Good enough...
But she is a tough one! I tried to make her intimate but she didn`t want to talk with me even... by (1) kernel panic (2) lilo crashed (3) memory allocation failed (4) cannot found packages...

But after all these events she talked to me... but.. she completely took me from my old and best friend Debian 3.1 GNU/Linux, codename "Sarge" and my newest friend Ubuntu 6.06.1. Now i am without my friends... she is only with me... feeling real bad...and i am not actually too much fine with her... cause, she is not so much stable as i thought. She is cute but she has very low things inside of her. Like, she has gcc-4.0.1 but her compilation time is much bigger than gcc-3.9. She has totem, xine but cannot play *.dat. She has no alien things... so i have to work with her rpms only. What a crap!

Journey started...

started journey with Ubuntu 6.06.1. And i will not quit suddenly without any major reason now. And in my ship there are only two guests members right now.... they are gcc-4.0.3 and emacs21-21.4.1. And default crews like OpenOffice2.0,Evolution,Totem(not adult yet!),Sound juicer and some others are helping as usual.

I want to load my ship called "Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS" fully.

Oh! another thing, yesterday(though it is 3:24 am... so yesterday) was VDay!!!

Ok! today is Pohela Falgunnnn.. Really nice and beautiful day!!! There is nothing ethical here for my comments. But moreover, much practical. How?

Cause, i have watching nice ladies with "Yellow" sharis today. They looks really nice! And like... world has now decorated in a very nice yellow color, nice flowers and nice fragrance....

I really enjoyed my day today...

Moreover, a huge change has come in weather today. Suddenly a slight rain has come and weather became much cooler. I was really like in heaven.

I think if you were in Dhaka.. you would obviously enjoyed this.

doing some "bajje" assignments

just doing some "joghonno" assignments of Operation System. Why "joghonno"?
Cause, we are not getting any kind of help from our faculty for completion of this assignments. He told us, "Search the net, you will get the answer...."

So, if we need to search the net for our basic stuff regarding assignments, then what is the purpose of faculty here????

Why are they coming here? Do you they come in order to show their face to us?
I don`t know.....

I think, they don`t have much knowledge about the things what they gave us as assignments....

upgrading to gnome 2.16.3

I am trying to upgrade myself into Gnome-2.16.03. In order to reach that state, i have started downloading various stuff for myself... have`nt completed all... but the download will be completed very soon.

i am little bit angry about some other stuff which i got from university. I have started some stupid academic assignment stuff tonight. This really sux....and the most suxxxxxxeeest part is, we have to use Windows ( totally freak ) there.... what a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and another thing regarding our company... i have published latest evaluation of our group members activity. And most important part is: we all got "0" there; which means we are really very busy with some other unimportant stuff. Must need to get rid of such type of situtaion.... otherwise we will be long gone.

Oooh! another important part is... i enjoyed a nice movie tonight. That was "Million dollar baby" of Clint Eastwood, famous western movie actor...
this movie is a real nice one... if you haven`t seen this... watch this ASAP.

had a nice trip

i had a nice trip to Chittagong-Cox`sbazar. I had never made such type of trip before. Why i say so?

I took my decision on going there within just 15 minutes. I made my mind on 2nd February 2007 @ 3:30 pm and get out for home to Chittagong @ 3:45 pm.

This was really nice....

And from that trip, i made my mind that, if i need to sattle in Bangladesh, i will sattle myself in Chittagong. It is really a very nice town. There are ports,nice railyway station, nice airport and moreover the most noticeble thing is, the sea-shore. I will always dream for Potenga...and Cox`sbazar also...

I had never seen any town of Bangladesh as clean as Chittagong... you will see no "bosti" there... at least i had seen nothing about this. You will see a very organized roads, island,footover bridge. And the most nice thing is... the hills.

I liked the "khulshi" area of Chittagong very much. It is just on a high valley. I will never forget one picture which shocked me so much... that is, when i started for bus station of "Silk Line" from Pathantuli, at one point i watched the wave of hills just left of me... and high hills on my head just right side of me... a road which zigzagged through hills and the head quarter of "Chittagong Railway" on the hill of my left corner. I watched the beauty of nature in the light of afternoon...

I hope that, i will visit Chittagong again very soon...

Welcome Spring 2007 Semester !

I have started my Spring 2007 Semester today. My first class was Database. Where our faculty is Mrs. Sadia Ahmed Kazi.

though i haven`t completed my registration, but i started attending the lectures.... anyway.

And regarding registration, i have a major chat with Mr. Shukanto, Treasurer of university. Let`s see what is waiting for me.... hoping not so much good... u will know by tomorrow`s blog.

Anyway, i had a good time for our company. Works are like stated below:

@ university: i have uploaded two files for my groupmates. One Apache installer for windows and another PHP doc. Both of them are in my server:

@ home: i have configured my debian box by jdk6. Installed Eclipse 3.2.1. Installed a lot of plugings including phpeclipse,UML,phpcdt etc. I include MySQL in my debian box. Apprx. 2 hrs. spend for all of those.

Hoping that, i can start PHP by tomorrow.

We celebrate our Eid-ul-Azha on 1st January 2007... which was also celebrated for New year 2007.

I went to my home village this year... i had a nice+boring time there...

nice == i passed my time with my all kith and kin and really enjoyed our meal with everyone of our family...

boring == i could not use my computer and internet for 6 days... from that point.. i was really dishearten

Anyway, what my feeling was there ......... "a blunt happiness"
